How To Rank A Blogpost In Google Using 2021 SEO Tactics
Learning how to rank a blogpost in Google is not an easy task. It takes years of trial and error to figure out what Google and the other search engines are looking for. Luckily for you, I have learned all of it and am going to show you everything in this post. So let’s jump into it. First let’s look at the title. For some reason, in order to improve Google rankings, use long titles and meta tags (metatags are the snippets from your blog that appear in the search results). Your title meta tag should be anywhere from 50 to 60 characters long. If you don’t know how to set your meta tags, it’s actually pretty easy. Install a plugin called “Yoast SEO”. Knowing how to rank a blogpost in Google gets easier with Yoast. That plugin allows you to see and edit your meta tags. Use the main keyword that you want to target in your title, preferably at the very beginning. Also use it in the slug (URL) of your post. This is easily accomplished by setting your default permalinks to: /%category%/%postname%/ in your site’s settings.
Learning How To Rank A Blogpost In Google Using Current SEO Tactics Can Make You A Lot Of Money
Google loves content. That means, the more you write, the better……at least up to a point. So what you’re looking for is anywhere between 2,000 and 3,000 words. This seems to be the sweet spot. Use a lot of descriptive adjectives and adverbs in order to stretch your ideas to the desired content length. At the very top of your post, you should have an H1 tag. That is a heading that describes the next section of content under that heading. Include your main keyword in exact match form in this H1 tag. Also include a relating keyword in the Heading 1 tag if possible. Learning these SEO rules will make it easier to rank anything that you post to your website. This will eventually lead to a lot of traffic, which can be converted into sales. These sales can be affiliate products or ones that you create yourself. A lot of people earn a full-time income from nothing else, so take this very seriously. All of this is only possible if you learn how to rank a blogpost in Google using the proper techniques.
Once You Learn How To Rank A Blogpost In Google You Will Be Able To Teach Others How To Use SEO To Improve Google Rankings
Let’s talk about the first paragraph. This is the most important paragraph of your post. Therefore there needs to be a lot of seo done to this paragraph. First of all, you need to use your main keyword in the very first sentence of that paragraph. It needs to be bolded. Somewhere below that bolded keyword, you need to use it again as the anchor text to an external link. This link should be to another high-authority website. Underline that anchor text. As an example, look at the first paragraph of this page. Near the end of it, I have “how to rank a blogpost in Google” underlined and linking to ‘https://yoast.com’. That is the topic of that sentence, as well as a high-authority website.
Improve Your Google Rankings Using The SEO Techniques That I describe In This Article
Use other closely related keywords in the first paragraph as well, and also throughout the rest of the content. It is especially crucial within the first paragraph though. Another thing that will improve your seo score is to include an image within that first paragraph. Use word-wrapping in order to have your text wrap around your image. If your WP theme doesn’t make this easy, you can try using a word processor like Microsoft Word. Then paste the result into your post. For this image, use your main keyword in a short sentence as the image title and alt tag. Include secondary keyword(s) in those 2 sentences and make them different from each other. Then select this image and make it hyperlink to itself. To do that, examine the html code of that image (use the ‘text’ tab during edit). It should look something like this:
<img src=”IMAGE URL”>
Change that to look like this:
<a href=”IMAGE URL”><img src=”IMAGE URL”></a>
That image now links to itself. We are done with the first paragraph.
Immediately following the first paragraph, create a Heading 2 tag. This heading should include your main keyword as well as a related keyword. Paragraph 2 starts directly below the H2 tag. Somewhere in this second paragraph, use your main keyword as the anchor text for an internal link. Make it point to another page or post on your website. Include a title attribute in that link and use your main keyword in a sentence as that title. Here’s what the html code should look like: <a href=”other page/post URL” title=”short sentence using your main keyword”>YOUR KEYWORD</a>.
What To Do With The Rest Of Your Images To Increase Your SEO Score
Your second image should appear either in this second paragraph or immediately below it. If you insert it into the paragraph, position it in a different spot than your first image. Include your main keyword in a short sentence for both your image title and image alt tags. Again, these 2 sentences should be different. Again, the second image should link to itself.
Insert an html comment tag after either the first or second paragraph. Use your main keyword in a full sentence within this comment tag, as well as related keywords. A comment tag uses this format: <!-Sentence using your main keyword and related keywords-> and will not be seen by readers.
Immediately following the second paragraph, use a heading 3 tag, incorporating your main keyword along with a related keyword. This will be the heading over the third paragraph. This will help to rank your article in Google according to my seo knowledge. The Heading 4 tag should NOT include your main keyword. It should only use a related keyword and should appear as the heading for the fourth paragraph. Keep reading and learning the rest of these rules about using seo to improve your Google rankings.
Using H5 and H6 tags is not important. Use them if they fit into your post nicely, but they will not affect your seo score. Only use related keywords in these if you do decide to use them. Continue writing content and stretching out your overall word count until you have at least 2,000 words. To improve Google rankings, also keep your readers interested and entertained, and try not to repeat yourself. If you need ideas, do a quick google search on your keyword but don’t copy someone else’s content. Only use it as inspiration and always put ideas into your own words. Publishing duplicate content will hurt your Google ranking.
More Ways To Raise Your SEO Prowess
Somewhere else in your post, you should include one or two more images. These two images DO NOT use your main keyword in either the titles nor alt tags. Rather use related keywords for both attributes in both images. These two images link to nothing.
Continue on adding content. Try to use your main keyword and related keywords where you can. Don’t just stuff them everywhere, the content has to be readable and make sense. For instance, my main keyword for this article is “how to rank a blogpost in google”. My related keywords are “search engine optimization”, “seo”, “how to rank in google”, "improve google rankings” and “google rankings”. I don’t just plaster them everywhere, but it made sense to include them in that last sentence. It was congruent with the idea that I was trying to illustrate. We are not done yet, so don’t quit reading. Next, locate your main keyword somewhere in the second or third paragraph and italicize it. Examine the third paragraph on this page, you will see that I have italicized my main keyword. I have also put quotation marks around it, which is the next thing on the list that you need to do.
Wait! There's Still More Ranking Tricks
Somewhere in the fourth paragraph or after, find somewhere to insert one of your secondary keywords and italicize it. I have done that in paragraph number seven. One of your related keywords in the fourth paragraph or after also needs to be underlined. I have chosen to underline the same string of words that I chose to italicize. It is perfectly alright with Google to do that.
You need to create one more html comment tag. This one does NOT use your main keyword, but rather a related keyword used in a short sentence. Remember that the format for this is: <!-Short sentence using a related keyword->. This html comment tag should appear below the fourth or fifth paragraph within your article.
Is The SEO Process Done?
There is one last thing that you need to do in the post creation. That is to put your main keyword into the very last sentence of your article. Try to use it in a call-to-action. Scroll down to the end of this article and you will see how I did that. That should give you an idea of what to do.
Writing and publishing your article is not the last step. In order to rank well in Google, you also have to have other websites pointing to your new post. This tells Google that not only is this post about your main keyword, but that others feel that it is important. This is called backllnking and it is as important to Google as the content itself. In a perfect world, people all around the world would hear about your content. They would check it out and see how great it is. They would then link to it on their sites. That’s what Google had in mind when they developed their algorithms. Unfortunately, the real world doesn’t operate that way. If you wanted backlinking to occur naturally, it may take years or even decades to happen. At least for enough people to find your content and link to it. We don’t want to wait decades, so we have to ‘cheat’ a bit.
What Else Can You Do To Improve Your SERPs Rank?
The first thing that you can do is share your page to all of your social media accounts. That might get the ball rolling but 99% of the time it’s not enough. We need to get more backlinks. You can buy backlinks from sites like fiverr.com, seoclerk.com or konker.io, but there’s some danger involved in doing that. These people sell a lot of backlinks. So the sites that they use might not be that reputable. They may have even been ‘slapped’ by Google. Those kinds of backlinks would actually be bad for you. They would decrease your rankings. A much safer way is to buy a backlinking software like syndlab, syndwire or onlywire.
To take full advantage of these, you need to have your own network of high-authority Web 2.0 sites. Web 2.0 sites are any site in which you become a member of a website that already exists. They include all of the social media sites, Blogger, Tumblr, WordPress.com sites, etc. In order for backlinks from these Web 2.0 sites to help you, the accounts have to have high page authority. To have high PA, they must be aged, have lots of posts on them and lots of backlinks. That's not easy to do for yourself. The way to get around all of that is to buy aged Web 2.0 sites to use for backlinking. This is where I bought mine: https://www.fiverr.com/seo_mentor1/find-and-register-195-expired-tumblr-blogs-up-to-pa-50?source=order_page_summary_gig_link_image&funnel=6c3a5b3a7e3c3f6b5ee3c104fd3ba10c
I chose the basic option, which gives 30 aged Tumblr accounts (PA>50) for only $10. That’s a great deal and he over-delivered, giving me 35 accounts in only 2 days. With those accounts, I bought a Syndlab account (the Pro version) for $97. That allows me to upload all of my Tumblr accounts.
The Results Are In The 'Juice'
Whenever I need to rank a webpage or video, I do a tiered backlinking campaign. I choose 5 of my Tumblr accounts to link directly to my video or webpage. I rotate which 5 I use each time. Then I use a different 10 to link to those 5 (rotating which 10 I use each time also), Then I use the remaining 20 to link to those 10. That builds up ‘link juice’ that is passed on to the item that I’m trying to rank.
Syndlab allows me to set up these tiered campaigns once and then re-use those setups whenever I need to. It takes about 15 minutes to set up the first time. Then only about 5 minutes each that I want to send backlinks. If it’s a video that I’m ranking, I drip feed these links over a 3 day period. Abrupt backlinking doesn’t hurt video rankings. If I’m ranking a webpage, I drip feed these links over a 2-week period. I then take all of the URLs that were generated and submit them to a link indexer. Google sees these links right away and I see results earlier. I use LinkBox.
